Why e-commerce marketing ticks differently
E-commerce has the toughest benchmarks in digital marketing: every click has a price, every conversion a cent value, and holidays, stock levels and competitor prices change daily. Working here without feed discipline, cross-device attribution and email recovery typically wastes 20–30 % of possible revenue in the funnel edges.
What we do for this industry
Four levers that demonstrably work in this industry – each with a measurable goal, none of them from the standard catalogue.
Google Shopping & PMax with a ROAS target
Feed management, product segmentation and tROAS control per category – not per shop. Margins flow into the bids as a signal so that the most profitable, not the cheapest, products are served.
Amazon & multi-marketplace
Amazon ads with a clean ACOS/TACOS setup, feed hygiene, review strategy and cross-marketplace attribution so Amazon, Google and shop revenues do not credit each other as their own success.
E-mail funnels & cancellation flows
Welcome, cart and winback journeys plus a cancellation flow with retention offers: the cheapest revenue in e-commerce comes from the existing base – not from new-customer acquisition.
Attribution across all channels
Server-side tracking and multi-channel attribution connect shop, marketplace and email data – including offline events where relevant. The result: one ROAS number you can defend in front of the CFO.

Frequently asked questions: E-Commerce & Retail
Do you work with Shopify, Shopware and Amazon at the same time?
Yes. Our attribution is platform-agnostic: shop system, marketplaces and the email tool feed into the same data base. The recommendation on where to invest first comes from the data – not from the tool that gives us the highest partner discount.
From what shop revenue does an e-commerce marketing agency make sense?
Rule of thumb: from around €50–100 k monthly revenue the first two channels (usually Shopping + email flows) amortise the agency costs. Below that we prefer starting focused on the channel with the biggest gap – we check this in the first call based on your current numbers.
How do you prevent Amazon and Google from crediting each other the revenue?
With multi-channel attribution at event level: each order is counted exactly once, and the last interaction via marketplace, search ads or email is reported separately. We show you both views – last-touch and model-based – so you know what you are comparing.
Do you build the email automation yourselves or only the strategy?
Both. Strategy first: journeys, segments and triggers are derived from your shop data. Then we build the workflows in the tool (Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailjet, or evalanche) and monitor deliverability continuously – otherwise the best flow dies in the spam folder.
